Our Programs

Life Skills Development

| More

Life Skills Development Programme of Youth Initiative is an effort to make investment in young people. We hope that with right tools and guidance, young people will be in a better position to tackle their multifaceted problems, develop to their fullest potential and be able to grow into responsible adults.

The overall goal of the programme is to enhance life skills of young people. This will contribute to their physical, emotional, intellectual and social development, leading them to a responsible and self-sufficient adulthood.

The life skills training camps are based on camp module and are residential. They are participatory and practical. The training camp is dedicated to the exploration and exchange of knowledge through interactive indoor and outdoor programs. The program is designed to challenge participants coming from an increasingly complex and fast-paced society to examine their personal lives, their interactions with other people, while enhancing life skills.

The methodology involves lectures, discussions, case studies, games, role-plays, simulations, video and documentaries, group work, personal reflections and sharing, story telling, handouts and notes, etc.

The tentative contents/subject matters that are covered under the life skills development program are as follows:
  • Self awareness
  • Managing emotions
