HOW CAN I
BE INVOLVED?
BEING A MEMBER
Youth Initiative membership is open to interested young people
between 15-29 years of age. To apply for members, first interested
youths have to attend a pre-orientation meeting. The Pre-Orientation
meeting is organized monthly or bi-monthly (depending on the
need) from August to April. Youth Initiative does not gives
membership during May to July.
The recent Orientation Session for new/potential members of Youth Initiative has taken place at Youth Initiative Office in Shantinagar on Saturday June 16, 2007 from 2 - 4 pm.

PARTICIPATE IN OUR PROGRAMS
Young people interested in Youth Initiative programs can participate in its various programs. To participate in
our programs, you don't need to be our member. Any interested
youth can participate.
You can participate in our weekly programs like Yuba
Chalfal (Youth Discussion), monthly programs like Civic
Concerns Workshop, or periodic programs like Talk Programs, Life Skills Camps, etc.

VOLUNTEERING AND INTERNSHIPS
There are various opportunities for volunteering with Youth
Initiative. The volunteering opportunities are open to both
Nepalese youths and to International Volunteers who might
be interested to work in the youth issues in Nepal.
Some of the international volunteers who have worked with
Youth Initiative in the past include, Cameron Neil from Australia,
Veronique Riuofol from France and Alex Buri from Canada.
INTERNSHIP
Youth Initiative offers opportunities to young people to
work as Intern for short-term period of 1 month to 3 months.
If you are 16-24 years old; energetic and have positive attitude
and want to develop your professional skills to be prepared
for the upcoming career in your life, Youth Initiative could
be an incubator to realize your potential.
As an Intern, you will be helping out with the daily operation
of the office; assist in organising programs (seminars, workshops,
etc); managing the Youth Resource Center and helping with
documentation. Apart from these you will have enough space
to identify your own roles and foster your ideas to bring
them into actions.

SUPPORT IN FUNDRAISING AND
DONATIONS
If you agree to our principles and our programs
and want to support our endeavour, we will need your help
for fundraising. If you know of organisations or agencies
which support youth organisations and youth work please let
us know about them and put us in contact with these organisations.
You can also make donations to our organization. You contribution,
small or big, will go a long way in support Youth Initiative
to carry our and expand its programs.
